Hi,
Technology isn't waiting for us... it's
moving full steam ahead, with or without
us. There are always new products,
upgrades and new ways that technology is
entering our lives. Laptops and cell
phones are everywhere. We have email,
music, videos, and internet access on
our phones. We have technology in our
cars telling us when to turn and
when something is in our blind spot.
You can do just about anything online
these days: shop, renew library books,
sign up for classes, book a vacation,
buy movie tickets...and if you are in
the greater Middletown area you can find
out the wait time at each of the Middlesex
Hospital ER's online before you go.
The more we do online the more critical
it becomes that our data is safe. This
month's newsletter has information to
help you keep your data safe and secure,
protected from disaster and I've
included some easy shortcuts the help
you get the most out of your time and
your BlackBerry.

Is
it time to clean out your inbox?
Have too many emails
saved in Outlook? Go to
Tools | Mailbox Cleanup
| View Mailbox Size and
see the size of your
mailbox as well as each
folder. (1,000 KB
equals 1 MB) You will
find out which folders
have the most messages
and might be thinned
out. You might
even find some
folders that can be
deleted entirely.
With this tool you can
search for emails by
size or age and delete
if desired. You can
also delete what's in
your Deleted folder.
Once deleted from here
however, it's gone
forever.
Cleaning your inbox will
help you become more
efficient and speed up
searches and free up
space.

Email Tricks
A few tips to make reading your email
faster:
* When inside an email, click the "N"
button to go to the "next" message.
* If you want to read a previous email,
simply click the "P"
button when inside of a message.
* And if you've scrolled all the way
down a lengthy message and want to
quickly go back to the top -- don't
scroll all the way up again -- instead
press the "T" button to
move your cursor back to the "top" of
the screen.
* If you are reading an email for the
second time and want to jump to the
bottom, the "B" button
will get you to the bottom of the email.
